Coby Huerta is a Junior Financial Advisor at NFA, where he specializes in financial planning, wealth management, and investment portfolio management. Coby holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from St. Edward’s University and has built a strong foundation in the financial services industry.
His career began as a non-licensed administrator for Cort Laurence, Kirk Walker, and Adam Straseske, where he spent four years (2017-2021) gaining hands-on experience in investment and financial planning. He then transitioned to Charles Schwab, working as a stockbroker for over 2.5 years (2021-2024), where he deepened his expertise in investment management firms, retirement planning services, and financial advisory services.
Since joining, Coby has played a key role in launching and optimizing NFA’s Follow Paul model for EL clients, taking the lead role in NFA’s Financial Planning program, and contributing to the firm’s Investment Model Management (IMM) program. His deep understanding of financial planning services and risk management allows him to develop tailored strategies that align with clients’ needs and long-term objectives.
Coby was drawn to NFA because of its entrepreneurial culture, fiduciary approach, and growth-oriented vision. His long-term goal is to obtain the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation, further solidifying his expertise in retirement tax planning, estate planning services, and business tax planning.
A firm believer that “the fruit I bear is a direct reflection of who I am,” Coby approaches his work with dedication, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset. His mission is to enhance the financial well-being of his clients while contributing to NFA’s growth and leadership in private wealth management and investment advisory services.
Outside of work, Coby enjoys reading, outdoor activities, and attending sporting events. He recently purchased his first home, an exciting step toward learning about homeownership and financial responsibility firsthand. During college, he also had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Scotland, an experience that broadened his perspective and adaptability.
