Reagan Wagner

CEO, President & Managing Principal

As CEO of NFA, Reagan Wagner is responsible for casting the firm’s vision and mission, ensuring that advisors and clients receive the highest level of service. He leads the Family & Business Enterprise and Private Client Divisions, focusing on helping individuals and business owners achieve long-term financial success. With over 24 years of experience, Reagan holds Series 6, 7, 24, 63, and 65 licenses, along with a Group 1 Life Insurance license.

Reagan’s career began at HEB, where he developed expertise in leadership, operational efficiencies, and identifying key performance indicators (KPIs). His passion for financial services led him to co-found NFA Wealth Management, merging wealth management with insurance and mutual fund expertise. He also played a pivotal role in acquiring Strategic Financial Concepts, establishing NFA’s own Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), and developing the firm’s Wealth Management and Succession & Continuity Programs.

Under Reagan’s leadership, NFA has experienced consistent double-digit growth, expanding its services and impact. His guiding principle is to serve advisors, clients, and his team with integrity and a commitment to excellence. By fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation, he ensures that NFA continues to grow and evolve in an ever-changing financial landscape.

Looking ahead, Reagan is focused on integrating new technology, expanding financial solutions, and increasing assets under management to $10 billion. He believes that leveraging the unique strengths of his team will drive continued success, allowing NFA to provide exceptional service for generations to come.

Beyond his professional role, Reagan enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and serving in his church. He finds joy in working outdoors, mowing, and shredding, embracing the satisfaction of hands-on work. His leadership philosophy is rooted in faith, family, finances, fitness, and fun, guiding both his personal and professional life.

Reagan’s favorite verse, Galatians 5:13-14, reflects his dedication to service:
“Do not use your freedom to indulge in the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” By staying true to this principle, he continues to lead NFA with vision, integrity, and a passion for helping others achieve financial success.

Robert graduated from Texas A&I with a bachelor’s degree in education. He then attended Our Lady of the Lake University to obtain a Master of Education. He taught and coached in San Antonio for 12 years. Robert then joined AIG (American General) in 1980.

Robert is a managing principal of National Financial Alliance, LLC. During his 27 years in the financial services industry, his firm has achieved numerous awards. The most prestigious being the Legion of Honor, given in 2002. Robert focuses on the development of new advisors by leading from the front and knowing when to push from behind. He helps clients determine their financial goals and educates them on programs they can use to reach them.

Robert married his high school sweetheart, Garnett, on May 31, 1969. They have three children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Kristen Wagner

COO, Partner

Kristen Wagner is the Chief Operating Officer at NFA, dedicated to ensuring that all company operations run with maximum efficiency, profitability, and compliance. She oversees the financial performance of NFA and SFC, tracking revenue and optimizing processes to enhance the success of advisors and team members alike. With a strong focus on compliance, revenue generation, and exceptional service, Kristen plays a pivotal role in scaling NFA’s continued growth and maintaining the firm’s industry-leading standards.

A graduate of Texas State University, Kristen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Magna Cum Laude, before beginning her career in financial services. Since joining NFA in 2004, she has held multiple key positions, including Financial Advisor, Insurance Agent, and Director of Operations. Over the years, she has been instrumental in reorganizing and structuring SFC, NFA’s RIA, and implementing hiring and performance review processes to strengthen both firms. Kristen’s leadership has helped grow NFA into a powerhouse of financial services, providing unwavering support to both advisors and clients.

With over 20 years of experience in financial advising and operations, Kristen has consistently delivered revenue growth and maintained high standards of service. Her passion lies in helping others create their vision of financial success, whether through guiding clients toward their goals or supporting advisors in expanding their practices. She believes strongly in the Five F’s—faith, family, finance, fitness, and fun—using them as guiding principles in both her professional and personal life.

Kristen thrives in NFA’s dynamic culture, attributing the firm’s success to its people and teamwork. She firmly believes that great achievements require a strong, collaborative team, and she works tirelessly to foster an environment where advisors and staff can thrive. As NFA continues its substantial growth, Kristen is committed to scaling operations, increasing efficiency, and driving long-term success.

Outside of work, Kristen enjoys working out, spending time at the beach, shopping, and sharing great food and wine with friends and family. A natural competitor, she loves a good game of darts, cornhole, or anything that brings out a competitive spirit. She strives to be a positive presence in people’s lives, always aiming to make others smile and laugh.

Kristen’s ultimate goal is to maintain a healthy work-life balance while continuing to drive NFA’s success. She prays daily for the health and wealth of her family and is passionate about creating a lasting impact on the lives of those she serves. With her strong leadership, commitment to teamwork, and vision for growth, she remains a driving force behind NFA’s continued expansion and success.

 

Adam Straseske

Compliance Director

Adam Straseske serves as the Compliance Director at NFA, where he focuses on developing, implementing, and enhancing compliance programs that empower financial advisors to run efficient, risk-mitigated practices. Since joining NFA in 2008, Adam has played a pivotal role in creating systems and solutions that align with industry regulations while supporting business productivity, financial planning, and advisor-client success.

Adam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and is a Chartered Market Technician (CMT). With over two decades in the financial services industry (since 1999), he brings a deep understanding of investment portfolio management, fiduciary financial advising, and compliance and risk management. His approach is centered on enhancing advisor effectiveness while safeguarding clients, firms, and the industry at large.

Adam was drawn to NFA for its freedom and core values, and he continues to be inspired by the firm’s mission to grow through integrity, innovation, and client-first service. He contributes to the culture by approaching every initiative with gratitude, empathy, and a commitment to continual improvement.

Motivated by responsibility and growth, Adam finds fulfillment in refining processes and exploring new ways to leverage compliance systems for long-term advisor success. He believes deeply in the power of mindset and reflection, guided by quotes such as: “What I am looking for is not out there, it is in me.” – Helen Keller.

Outside of work, Adam enjoys just about anything involving water, reflecting his calm yet driven nature. Known for his supportive attitude, he often says, “If you would like help… just ask.” As NFA continues to evolve, Adam remains focused on helping advisors navigate the complexities of financial regulation with confidence and clarity.

Madison Franklin

Director of Operations

Madison Franklin is the Director of Operations at NFA, where she ensures the firm’s day-to-day operations run seamlessly. With a focus on efficiency, process improvement, and team development, Madison plays a critical role in refining policies, procedures, and workflows to enhance productivity. She is dedicated to coaching team members, setting performance goals, and fostering accountability to drive long-term success.

With six years at NFA, Madison’s journey began as an intern before transitioning into a Financial Services Associate, where she earned her Series 7, Series 66, and Life and Health Insurance licenses. Her experience in portfolio management and financial planning provided her with a strong foundation in both back-office operations and client-facing roles. As she advanced, she collaborated closely with COO Kristen Wagner, discovering her passion for operations and stepping into leadership roles, ultimately becoming Director of Operations in early 2024.

Madison leads NFA’s Premier Wealth Management program, overseeing both Internal Money Management and Financial Planning initiatives. She also works closely with product partners and third-party vendors, ensuring advisors and clients have access to the latest tools and resources. Additionally, she collaborates with the operations team on advisor payouts, insurance commissions, and onboarding, streamlining key processes to enhance efficiency and transparency.

Throughout her career, Madison has contributed to scaling NFA’s internal money management program, developing financial planning processes, and implementing a new billing software that optimizes advisor payouts. Her deep understanding of the firm’s structure and her strategic mindset have helped her drive innovation and operational excellence. She is passionate about building a generational company, inspired by the vision and leadership of Bob Wagner, Reagan Wagner, and Kristen Wagner.

Madison embodies NFA’s Five F’s, especially family, which plays a significant role in her life. She brings a positive attitude, fresh perspectives, and a collaborative spirit to the workplace, always eager to take on new challenges and support her colleagues. Her professional goal is to become a stronger leader and enhance her communication skills, ensuring she continues to make a meaningful impact.

Outside of work, Madison enjoys spending time at the lake, playing board and card games, trying new restaurants, and hanging out with family and friends. A fun fact about her—she’s left-handed and played club volleyball in college. Lauren Wheeler

Administrative Services Team Lead

As the Administrative Services Team Lead at NFA, Lauren Wheeler oversees the Premier Services Program, while also serving as Executive Assistant to the CEO and COO. She is responsible for office compliance, daily office operations, and ensuring efficiency across departments. With expertise in onboarding, offboarding, marketing, and insurance operations, she plays a vital role in aligning internal processes with NFA’s strategic goals.

Lauren graduated from Texas State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Family Consumer Science – Consumer Affairs and a minor in Business Administration. Her career began at Landry’s Corporate Office, where she gained experience in corporate HR and benefits administration. She then expanded her expertise in executive support, client service, and sales operations while working with Taylor Morrison, a luxury home builder.

Lauren later served as Director of Operations for a real estate brokerage in Aspen, Colorado, managing daily operations and strategic initiatives. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she returned to Texas to support family-owned businesses, taking on leadership roles in finance, HR, and operations. These diverse experiences shaped her well-rounded skill set in administration, compliance, and executive leadership, which she now brings to NFA.

Lauren was drawn to NFA’s strong values and family-like culture, appreciating its balance of structure, growth, and community. She thrives in NFA’s forward-thinking environment, where innovation and continuous improvement drive excellence in client service and operations. Her proactive, service-minded leadership style makes her a key asset to the firm’s success.

Outside of work, Lauren is NFA’s resident cowgirl, spending much of her time on the ranch with her husband, their cattle and bison, five dogs, and a variety of other animals. She enjoys the outdoors, fishing, exploring farmers markets, tackling DIY projects, and catching live music whenever she can.

Coby Huerta

Junior Financial Advisor

Coby Huerta is a Junior Financial Advisor at NFA, where he specializes in financial planning, wealth management, and investment portfolio management. Coby holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from St. Edward’s University and has built a strong foundation in the financial services industry.

His career began as a non-licensed administrator for Cort Laurence, Kirk Walker, and Adam Straseske, where he spent four years (2017-2021) gaining hands-on experience in investment and financial planning. He then transitioned to Charles Schwab, working as a stockbroker for over 2.5 years (2021-2024), where he deepened his expertise in investment management firms, retirement planning services, and financial advisory services.

Since joining, Coby has played a key role in launching and optimizing NFA’s Follow Paul model for EL clients, taking the lead role in NFA’s Financial Planning program, and contributing to the firm’s Investment Model Management (IMM) program. His deep understanding of financial planning services and risk management allows him to develop tailored strategies that align with clients’ needs and long-term objectives.

Coby was drawn to NFA because of its entrepreneurial culture, fiduciary approach, and growth-oriented vision. His long-term goal is to obtain the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation, further solidifying his expertise in retirement tax planning, estate planning services, and business tax planning.

A firm believer that “the fruit I bear is a direct reflection of who I am,” Coby approaches his work with dedication, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset. His mission is to enhance the financial well-being of his clients while contributing to NFA’s growth and leadership in private wealth management and investment advisory services.

Outside of work, Coby enjoys reading, outdoor activities, and attending sporting events. He recently purchased his first home, an exciting step toward learning about homeownership and financial responsibility firsthand. During college, he also had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Scotland, an experience that broadened his perspective and adaptability.

Marissa Vega

Marketing & Insurance Specialist

Marissa Vega is the Marketing & Insurance Specialist at NFA, where she leads the firm’s marketing efforts, including social media management, campaigns, and branding. She also plays a key role in coordinating NFA’s two annual events alongside Lauren Wheeler. In addition to marketing, Marissa oversees group benefits for business clients and supports the life insurance team as needed. Holding a BBA in Management from Angelo State University and a Texas Life & Health Insurance License, she blends her marketing expertise with deep knowledge of insurance to enhance NFA’s outreach and client support.

Since joining NFA three years ago, she has evolved from an administrative assistant to managing both the health insurance division and the firm’s marketing efforts, showcasing the firm’s commitment to career growth and internal development. Marissa has led several key initiatives at NFA in expanding the firm’s digital presence. She played a crucial role in transitioning the firm’s health insurance division into a more prominent service offering.

What drew Marissa to NFA was its strong emphasis on family and faith, values that deeply resonate with her. She enjoys working with colleagues to leverage their strengths in projects and appreciates having the creative freedom to develop new ideas. She finds motivation in her husband, family, and the clients she serves, knowing that her work has a direct impact on their success. Inspired by her grandfather’s wisdom—“Do your best, and then a little bit more”—she maintains a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in everything she does.

Outside of work, Marissa enjoys traveling, attending concerts, watching sports with her husband Eli, and playing golf (even if she jokes about not being great at it!). Her grandmother’s advice, “You pray for me, I’ll pray for you,” has always stayed with her, reinforcing the importance of faith, family, and supporting others—values she proudly brings into her work at NFA.

Beth Hodo

Operations Associate

Beth Hodo is an Operations Associate at NFA, a leading firm specializing in financial planning and wealth management. She plays a crucial role in optimizing financial advisory services, and improving operational efficiency. With expertise in risk management, Beth is responsible for enhancing billing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing solutions that improve accuracy, speed, and overall effectiveness.

Since joining, Beth has led key initiatives, including the successful launch of AdvisorBOB, NFA’s new billing software system. This innovation has significantly improved financial management, portfolio management, and internal workflows. She has also developed and introduced new operational workflows and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency in advisor succession planning services, investment portfolio management, and client account administration.

Beth holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Texas State University. Before transitioning into financial services companies, she built a strong foundation in business management, budget planning, and process optimization within the hospitality industry. Beth’s work directly supports NFA’s mission to deliver risk management services, private wealth management, and investment management solutions tailored to clients’ needs.

Outside of the office, Beth enjoys spending time with loved ones, traveling, practicing Pilates and yoga, and searching for the perfect margarita. A lifelong learner, she has read over 60 books in the past year and will begin yoga teacher training in her free time. Her mantra? “Reflect on how far you have come and keep fighting for who you want to be.” Beth looks forward to growing her role at one of the top wealth management firms.

John Macias

Insurance Associate

John Macias is an Insurance Associate at NFA, specializing in placing new business in force and servicing existing clients. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance from Schreiner University, John began his journey at NFA as an intern, gaining hands-on experience before transitioning to a full-time role. Over the past year, he has developed a strong foundation in life and health insurance, ensuring clients receive the best coverage options to protect their financial future.

John was drawn to NFA because of its collaborative culture and commitment to professional growth. He values the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and contributes to a firm that prioritizes innovation and continuous improvement. Jessica Alvarez

Adminsitrative Assistant

Jessica Alvarez is a dedicated Administrative Assistant at NFA, providing office administrative support. With a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Marketing and Management, Jessica brings a strong organizational and strategic mindset to her role, ensuring efficiency in day-to-day operations.

Since joining NFA, Jessica has embraced the challenge of learning the world of finance, an industry that was entirely new to her. Joslin Burr

Advisor Support Manager

Joslin Burr is a Advisor Support Manager at NFA, serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for business relationship managers, advisors, and staff. With over 11 years of financial industry experience and 21 years in customer service, she specializes in advisor onboarding, training, and operational efficiency. Joslin plays a crucial role in streamlining business processes, facilitating advisor transitions, and enhancing CRM systems to improve advisor-client relationships and overall firm productivity.

In her six years at NFA, Joslin has been instrumental in leading advisor transitions, training new advisors and staff, and optimizing the firm’s CRM systems. One of her key accomplishments includes spearheading the transition from Redtail to Wealthbox CRM, ensuring a smooth migration and enhanced efficiency for advisors. Her expertise in financial operations comes from diverse roles at American Funds, IPI, and Allianz Bernstein, where she gained deep insights into client relations, retirement planning, and operational management.

Joslin thrives in creating structured onboarding experiences for new advisors, ensuring they integrate seamlessly into NFA’s culture while equipping them with the tools to succeed. She is also an AOE specialist for Premier Admin Advisors, offering advanced operational expertise to support high-level financial professionals. Her proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement has helped advisors enhance their workflow and maximize client service.

Jessica Llanas is a dedicated Business Relationship Manager II at NFA, supporting Reagan Wagner, Kristen Wagner, and Bob Wagner in managing day-to-day client operations. With a strong background in customer service and financial operations, Jessica handles account maintenance, money movement requests, outside account paperwork, meeting preparation, and compliance updates. She also ensures seamless communication between clients and advisors, allowing them to focus on growing their businesses while she efficiently manages their operational needs.

With over a decade of experience in the financial industry, Jessica previously worked for American Funds in the retirement department for six years. She specialized in establishing 401(k) plan brochures, excelling in her role to the point of training new employees and evaluating their work. Seeking an opportunity to grow and advance, she joined NFA nearly four years ago, bringing her expertise and commitment to client service. She takes great pride in working for a firm that has built long-standing relationships with loyal clients, a testament to NFA’s success and reputation in the industry.

Jessica’s passion lies in helping clients navigate the complexities of financial paperwork, ensuring they fully understand the documents they are reviewing or signing. Caleb Hesseltine

Premier Service Associate

Caleb Hesseltine is a Premier Service Associate at NFA Wealth Management, where he specializes in client services and relationship management for the firm’s Premier Service clients. In his role, Caleb supports Reagan Wagner directly, while also collaborating with the Premier Wealth Management (PWM) team to prepare comprehensive financial plans, perform investment analyses, and ensure a high-touch client experience.

Caleb graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a bachelor’s degree in finance and holds his Life & Health Insurance license. His attention to detail, analytical mindset, and commitment to service make him a strong asset to NFA’s mission of helping clients achieve financial clarity and long-term success.

Before transitioning into his current role, Caleb began his journey at NFA as an intern, where he assisted with insurance processing, portfolio modeling, and market research to support client-specific investment strategies. His professional growth reflects his deep passion for the wealth management and financial advisory industry.

Taylor Sweet, a 2022 graduate with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio, embarked on a dynamic professional journey that seamlessly combined a diverse range of experiences. From call center operations and IT roles to dispatching for a medical and courier company, Taylor’s early career was marked by a commitment to delivering impeccable customer service. This multifaceted background laid the groundwork for Taylor’s transition into the financial industry, bringing a unique perspective to the world of business relations.
 
Currently serving as a Business Relationship Manager at National Financial Alliance, Taylor navigates the intricate landscape of administrative back-office work while providing elevated customer service for both advisors and clients. Taylor’s role demands meticulous attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to streamline processes to ensure the smooth functioning of the financial advisory team. Brandy Barela

Business Relationship Manager II

Savannah holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a Finance concentration from Samford University, along with Series 7, Series 66, and Life & Health licenses. Mackenzie Mendoza

Administrative Intern

Mackenzie Mendoza is an Administrative Intern at NFA, where she supports daily office operations and assists multiple departments with essential administrative tasks. From filing and organizing documents to preparing reports, answering calls, and keeping the office running smoothly, Mackenzie plays a vital role in maintaining operational efficiency and team support.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Mackenzie is on track to graduate in May 2026. Before joining NFA in May 2025, she served as a Student Assistant in UTSA’s Office of the Executive Vice President for Business Affairs, where she gained valuable experience in administrative support, event planning, and front desk operations.

Mackenzie was drawn to NFA because of its core values, especially its emphasis on Faith and Family—two principles that also serve as the foundation for her personal life. She appreciates the opportunity to be part of a firm that values community, purpose, and personal growth.

In her short time with NFA, she has already found excitement in learning the behind-the-scenes process of planning major company events like the Kick-Off Conference and Mid-Year Meeting. She enjoys collaborating with the Executive Assistant team and contributing to the firm’s operations in meaningful ways.

Mackenzie’s proactive and detail-oriented working style, combined with her enthusiasm for learning and strong communication skills, make her a valuable asset to the NFA team. She is motivated by her family’s support and is focused on developing her leadership skills and building a strong foundation for a future career in business operations or management.
